Don't have any Easter decorations? Try these do-it-yourself projects to make your dorm or apartment more festive.

Carrot Banner

What you need:

  • Orange paper
  • Green paper
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Ruler
  • Writing utensil
  • Hole punch
  • String, ribbon, or yarn
  1. Using the ruler, measure the green paper and mark three-fourths inch strips longways. Cut the green strips in half, so they are only 5 to 5 ½ inches long. Measure the orange paper 1 1/2 inches short-ways.

  2. Fold the green strips in half. Place three of the green folded strips between two orange strips. If you hold up the orange strips, you shouldn’t be able to see the green paper.

  3. Staple the strips together. Take the orange papers and staple the other ends together.

  4. Using a hole puncher, punch holes in the green paper. String yarn through each hole.

  5. Hang in your dorm or apartment to celebrate Easter!

Easter Egg Wreath

What you need:

  • Sturdy piece of paper
  • Colored paper
  • Writing utensil
  • Paper plate
  • Tape
  • String, ribbon, or yarn
  • Scissors
  • Something to decorate
  1. Draw an egg shape onto a sturdy piece of paper. Cut out the shape.

  2. Trace the egg shape onto different colored pieces of paper and cut them out.

  3. Cut out the center of a paper plate. This will be your wreath shape.

  4. Decorate the eggs with crayons, glitter glue, stickers, etc.

  5. Tape or glue the eggs onto the paper plate.

  6. Using the string, make a loop so that you can hang your Easter wreath.

Easter Egg Table Decoration

What You Need:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Oven
  • Mixing bowl
  • Cookie sheet
  • Roller
  • Parchment paper
  • A straw
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Ribbon, string or yarn
  • Branch
  • Rocks
  • Container
  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Mix flour, salt and water into a mixing bowl.

  2. Using your hands, knead the dough together until it is combined.

  3. Roll out the dough into a 1/4 inch thickness.

  4. Cut out egg-shaped pieces of dough (I just used a butter knife and the egg shape from the wreath craft).

  5. Place the egg-shaped dough onto a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Using a straw, cut out holes on the top of the egg. This allows you to hang the eggs with string.

  6. Let the dough bake for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Allow to cool.

  7. Paint the eggs however you desire. Let dry.

  8. Place the branch into the container. Put rocks inside the container. The rocks will allow the branch to stand up and weighs the container down.

  9. String ribbon through the eggs. Hang on the branch.

  10. Place on your table or windowsill as decoration for Easter.
