VG247 apologizes to Naughty Dog

VG247.com issued an apology to Naughty Dog, the developer behind the Uncharted series.

The website published an article on September 30 under the title, "Is Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End too formulaic?" This opinion was based off the staff's playthrough during the Tokyo Game Show.

Unfortunately for VG247, they had actually been playing a remastered Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, straight out of the Uncharted Collection.

VG247 instantly took the article down once it was informed by Sony about the mistake. In its "Letter from the Editor" apology, writer Matt Martin did not refrain from using an expletive to convey how sorry VG247 is.

In his defense, the writer mentions that the game did indeed look graphically pleasing enough to be considered the next iteration in the series. Nevertheless, on behalf of him and everyone at VG247, he apologizes for the stress this may have caused Naughty Dog and Uncharted fans.
