Dating and Marriage: The State of Millennial Love

<p></p>

Same-sex and interracial relationships are no longer abnormal to the largest generation in history. Millennials are more accepting of same-sex relationships with 70 percent supporting them, compared to 35 to 49 percent of older generations. Additionally, nine in 10 Millennials wouldn’t mind family members marrying someone of another another race or ethnicity.

This generation is expanding the traditional view of relationships with the advancement of technology. Relationships that haven’t always been mainstream now have a platform to show individuals that they exist.

When it comes to marriage, Millennials are waiting longer than their parents, the average marrying age now being 27 for women and 29 for men. Whether it’s for financial stability or career advancement, this generation still values marriage and is delaying it for purposeful reasons.
