The website’s home page and admissions page was updated over the summer as a part of a pilot test for the redesign, said Julie Hopwood, interim vice president for strategic communications, during one of the community brand refresh sessions.

The new sections boast a more modern, visual-heavy look and implement some of the colors mentioned at the brand refresh sessions, like shades of blue and of course, the traditional red, black and white.

The not-yet-updated parts of the site still use the grey, white and red scheme and is more text-heavy.

A picture slideshow, statistics on the university and current highlights make up the new home page. All the information on the new pages is grouped in blocks, compared to it being laid out in lines.

Hopwood said the first group of changes will take place in early October. Those changes will take six months to redesign, and will focus on admissions.

"We felt admissions did impact the majority of campus in a positive way, so that’s why we chose that first," Hopwood said.

As the university continues to redesign the website, Hopwood said each group should be faster than admissions, because they'll have a plan of action made up.
