Twitch co-founder and CEO Emmett Shear made the full announcement during the Twitchcon keynote, ensuring PlayStation fans that the app will include chat integration and emoticon support.
Twitch is a popular broadcasting site that allows players to either stream their games or watch other players' streams. The Twitch app has been available on the Xbox One for a while now, but it looks like PlayStation users won't have long to wait until they can get in on the action too.
The Twitch app will be released on the PS4 next month, with support for the PS3, PS Vita and PS TV to follow.
