ORIGINAL: With the release of the latest and last Metal Gear Solid game upon us, many fans have still been worrying about the dreaded microtransactions. As of Aug. 31, the PlayStation store has been updated to include these purchasable items, including their price.

These microtransactions, which come in the form of in-game currency, are called Mother Base coins, or MB coins. These coins will be featured in the online Forward Operating Bases mode, and be used to improve and upgrade each players' personal Mother Base, which other online players can invade. Konami officials have said that the coins can be earned by playing the story mode and completing mission, and that purchasing them merely offers players a "shortcut."

As of now, there are five different packs of MB coins that can be purchased, each including a different amount. The smallest amount that can be purchased is 100 coins for $1.65, while the largest is 6000 coins for the low low price of $79.95.

It is unknown whether or not this prices are final, or if more packs will be added at a later time.
