"We are by no means done with what we are trying to accomplish but I'm so impressed by my team," head coach Max Norris said in a statement. "We've been through a lot but I wouldn't want any other group. They consistently accept challenges we as coaches give them day in and day out and it showed in a match like today."
Ball State began the match by sweeping Eastern Michigan in doubles play.
At No. 1, sophomore Rosalinda Calderon paired with junior Courtney Earnest for a 6-2 victory. Senior Courtney Wild and junior Bethany Moore won 7-5 at No. 2 doubles, and senior Ashlyn Rang and sophomore Toni Ormond earned a 6-4 win.
The Cardinals clinched the match win with four victories in singles play. Wild, Earnest, Calderon and Moore all defeated their opponent in singles.
Ball State will return to action on April 17 at home against Bowling Green. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
