Who cares about the score when Katy Perry performs during Super Bowl XLIX's halftime? Here are five things you need to know about Katy Perry’s time to shine:

1. She wasn’t lip syncing

At least it didn’t seem that way. Perry started out her performance with “Eye of the Tiger”, then went into “ET” and followed it up with “I Kissed a Girl” (Okay, maybe she was lip syncing there).

But for “California Girls”, “Teenage Dream” and her wrap-up, “Firework”, the girl was actually singing. And we liked it.

2. Holy cow, costume changes

Perry needed to take her own advice from "Hot and Cold" after she changed four times during her performance.

Perry began with a fire printed dress, changed to a beach ball dress for "Teenage Dream" and "California Girls," then switched to a baggy, hooded sweatshirt with a bedazzled 49 printed on the front before finishing with a silver ball gown for the finale. Whew!

3. Lenny Kravitz is always awesome

Whether he’s singing at the Super Bowl or playing a good-guy stylist in "the Hunger Games," Lenny Kravitz always delivers a top notch performance.

He sang "I Kissed a Girl’ and even made some time for a guitar solo while KISS-level pyrotechnics shot off against the silhouette of the goal post. Killer!

4. Missy Elliot turned into a Jack-in-the-Box

Out of nowhere "Get Your Freak On" started playing and Missy Elliot ran on stage with waist length extensions, baggy black pants and eccentric red nails.

Elliot also performed "Lose Control" and "Work It". Unlike Perry, Elliot was totally lip syncing. Not that we blame her, that dance routine was high octane.

5. "Firework" was explosive

A light-up shooting star lifted Perry, giving her the illusion of flight during her performance of "Firework".

While Perry performed, globes of light shot from the ground while fireworks flew over the open dome of the stadium.

Katy Perry's Superbowl performance ended with a literal bang.
