Ball State splits dual co-ed meet

The Ball State swimming & diving teams split a duel co-ed meet Jan. 23 at home against Milwaukee and IUPUI. 

The women's team defeated Milwaukee by a score of 128-114, while the men fell to Milwaukee 171-71.

The women finished with four event wins on the day with 14 total top-three finishes. 

The Cardinals started with a victory in the 400 medley relay by senior Carlena Magley, sophomores Courtney Mudd and Katie Horn, and freshman Amanda Kedzierski. Magley also won the 100 free with a time of 53.02.

Sophomore Audrey Rodawig posted a first-place finish for Ball State as well, winning the 100 fly. Kedzierski won the 100 breast with a 1:06.14 to round out the wins for Ball State in the meet. 

The Cardinals also received four career-best efforts in diving, led by freshman Taylor Flew and sophomore Brittany Penn.

In the men's meet, Ball State had seven top-three finishes and two event wins. 

Senior Joseph Morris finished first in the 100 freestyle with a 46.42 and also in the 400 medley relay with a 3:28.84 time. Morris teamed with senior Andrew Sullenbarger, junior Cole Smith and sophomore Tanner Barton for the victory.
