The Ball State football team had 11 players named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-Mid-American Conference Team, which was announced today.

The Cardinals had the third most players on the team out of 13 MAC teams.

Senior running back Jahwan Edwards and junior receiver Jordan Williams were both named to the first team. Edwards made the All-MAC Second Team as a junior last season, while Williams was a third team selection in 2013.

Ben Ingle, a junior linebacker, and Brian Jones, a fifth-year senior safety, were named to the second team. Ingle led the Cardinals with 116 total tackles in 2013, while Jones finished second on the team with 97.

Nick Miles, Jacob Richard, Jalen Schlachter and Kyle Schmidt have all been selected to the All-MAC Third Team.

The fourth team includes Cardinals Eric Patterson, Zack Ryan and Scott Secor.
