A report that The Village Promenade has announced its first business for the 22,000-square-foot first floor are false, said Marc Fortney, president and CEO of Brothers Bar and Grill.
“We are looking at the viability of the Ball State and Muncie area at this time,” Fortney said. “We have not signed a lease.”
Asset Campus Housing, the parent company for The Village Promenade, announced Brothers Bar and Grill’s intent to set up shop when the complex opens this week.
Brothers Bar and Grill has locations Colorado, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Indiana.
Village Promenade Leasing Office general manager Anna Shull said several businesses have expressed interest in the large spaces of the apartment’s first floor.
While none have officially announced intent, Jimmy John’s has expressed interest in relocating to the first floor, Puerto Vallarta may open a branch and Domino’s Pizza has expressed interest in a sit-down restaurant along with Five Guys, Shull said.
The apartment also is looking to a convenient store to provide residents with a place to purchase groceries.
