This Valentine’s Day, Be Here Now is partnering with Glue & Scissors to present The Swingers Ball: Val&tine’s Day Formal, a jazz-filled dance party from 8 tonight to 3 a.m. Local band The Jazz Agents will perform swing and big band tunes for its first show ever.
The Jazz Agents are a recently formed orchestral band, led by Timmy Barnett.
Barnett, a violin performance major, plays the French horn, piano, organ, viola and violin, which he has been playing for more than 10 years.
Terhune, saxophonist, has won the Undergraduate Concerto Competition at Ball State.
Terhune also will perform with the Ball State Symphony Orchestra on Feb. 22, along with other members of The Jazz Agents, including Barnett, Breckon and Sitler.
There will also be love Tarot card readings in the basement, in honor of the holiday.
Later in the evening, DJ Craig Sandman Smith will play more modern tunes.
