REO Speedwagon lined up to perform at Emens in 2014

Proceeds will benefit tornado, storm victims

The staff at John R. Emens Auditorium announced Friday that classic rock band REO Speedwagon will perform in early February.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at Emens. The upcoming event will will benefit the Rock To The Rescue charity, which is raising funds to benefit victims of the Midwest tornadoes and storms. The band will host memorabilia and instrument raffles or auctions to raise more funds.

REO Speedwagon formed in 1967. Since then, the band has sold more 40 million albums worldwide. The band has released multiple chart topping singles, including “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On The Run.” After more than 30 years together, the band is still known for electrifying performances across the nation.
