Haunted Forest to open in Muncie

An extended Haunted Forest will open at 8 p.m. tonight in Muncie.

According to a press release, the event, at at 6490 Cornbread Rd., will include a route nearly twice as long as last year’s course, now spanning over one mile.

Tickets are $12 per person, and the event is open to the public. Coupons for $2 off the entrance fee can be found as a print out on the Facebook page.

The Haunted Forest is open on Fridays and Saturdays through October, and also on Halloween. Each night runs from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The event will also include the Hallow, an area with games and refreshments.

Profits from the Haunted Forest go toward the Back to School Teachers Store, a company designed to provide free school supplies to classrooms throughout Delaware County, according to their website.

On Oct. 19, the Haunted Forest will host “Kids Day.” The event lasts from 1 to 4 p.m., and it cost $5 per person. Halloween characters will be present, and for $2 extra, children may take a photo with either Cinderella or Spiderman.

According to the website, the Haunted Forest will close for an intense thunderstorm, lightening, rain or other severe weather.
