Tickets go on sale for Oktoberfest-themed dinner

Tickets are now available for Cooking Live! Oktoberfest.

Today between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in The Retreat at Noyer Complex, tickets for the first Cooking Live! event this year are available for $35.

The Oktoberfest-themed dinner will feature authentic German cuisine, such as smoking goose veal bratwurst over caraway sauerkraut and sauerbraten with käsespätzle and sautéed kale with garlic, shallots and capers.

Attendees will chose between a beer or wine pairing, as well as appetizers, salads and desserts.

Lucas Miller, Ball State's executive chief, will present an on-stage cooking demonstration, including recipes for those who wish to recreate the dishes at home.

The event is open to anyone at 6 p.m. Oct. 24 in the Alumni Center.

According to a promotional email, the event has sold out in the past so those looking to eat German food prepared by a professional chef should act quickly.
