UPDATE:

At 11 p.m., the line had more than 143 people.

EARLIER:
Students crowded the sidewalks around John R. Emens Auditorium Box Office today in anticipation of Jason Mraz tickets going on sale at 8 a.m.

As of 9 p.m. 83 people were in line.

Kyleigh Mazer, a freshman business major, and her friend started the line around 11:30 a.m. and have taken shifts all day to protect their place. Others began to join around 1 p.m.

“I was in the freshman convocation and I was sitting next to my roommate and as I heard Jason Mraz was coming to Ball State I got all tense and I shrieked, ‘Jason Freaking Mraz is coming!’” Mazer said.

Mraz will perform on campus on Oct. 15.

Emens Auditorium is celebrating 50 years by bringing several big names to campus this year. Among Mraz, Emens is bringing Florida Georgia Line and Jim Gaffigan, but out of all those names, Mraz has drawn the biggest crowd.
