On Wednesday, September 25, 2013, Ball State University’s Dance Marathon will hold a callout meeting for potential dancers. The annual event raises money for Riley Children’s Hospital. This year specifically will focus on Riley’s Pallative Care Program.
“This is a program that focuses on providing relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of a serious illness—whatever the diagnosis,” says Allie Ghul, a member of BSUDM’s dancer relations committee. According to her, last year’s event raised $196,228.20 with the help of over 1,000 Ball State students. This year, the organization plans to beat that record.
The registration fee for each dancer will be $25 (according to bsudancemarathon.org). In addition to this fee, BSUDM plans to have each dancer raise $100 for Riley.
