Ball State, Army trade field goals in third quarter

Cardinals still hold touchdown lead over Black Knights

Score: Ball State 20, Army 13

Starting with the ball in the second half, Army drove into ball state territory but stalled once it got inside field goal range.

Army's Dan Grochowski hit his second field goal of the game, this one from 45 yards, to cut Ball State's lead again to 17-13 early in the third quarter.

Ball State responded by moving the ball well again, and running back Jahwan Edwards got over the 100 yard rushing mark on the drive. But the Cardinals couldn't get past Army's 12-yard line and were forced to settle for a 29-yard field goal by Steven Schott.

The Cardinals got the ball back quickly after Army was forced to punt and were driving at the end of the quarter.
