Indiana gubernatorial Democratic candidate John Gregg and his running mate Vi Simpson will do a meet-and-greet today at The Fickle Peach in Muncie as part of a larger tour.
“It’s a chance to meet John Gregg and ask him any questions you have about his vision for Indiana,” said Daniel Altman, communications director for the campaign.
“John has obviously been campaigning on the platform of creating jobs and strengthening the economy, and obviously [today] is a great chance to get out and meet him and get to know him a little bit better.”The chance to meet a candidate is important for the community to take advantage of, Altman said.
“I hope they get to know John a little bit better,” Altman said. “We’ve been saying throughout this entire campaign that the more people know John, the more they will like him. Obviously, we want as many people as possible to get out and talk to him.”
The campaign stop is at 4:15 p.m. at The Fickle Peach, 117 E. Washington St. After that, Gregg and Simpson will be at the Delaware County Headquarters, 214 N. Walnut St.As part of the Workhorse Tour in Indiana, Gregg and Simpson will stop in Shelbyville, Batesville, Connersville, New Castle, Richmond and Winchester prior to the Muncie stop.
The duo will make stops in Anderson, Hartford City, Portland, Decatur, Bluffton, Marion and Kokomo on Wednesday.
