A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 1 p.m. for Delaware County.
The thunderstorm is capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. The storm is moving east at 40 mph.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 6 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms will occur this afternoon and tonight, some with heavy rain. The main threat is damaging winds and large hail for the severe thunderstorms.
An isolated tornado and minor flooding is also possible.
