Graduate School Expo to be hosted in the Arts and Journalism Building Friday

09/12/17 7:49 p.m.

Students wanting to know more information about education after graduation will get their questions answered Friday.

The Graduate School Expo is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first floor of the Art and Journalism Building.

The Ball State Graduate School, the School of Extended Education and the Career Center are the hosts of the expo.

Students interested in graduate school are encouraged to attend to meet with the representatives and to gain more information about the admissions process.

The expo also serves to provide information for students who may not know a lot about graduate school or their future educational plans.

"This isn't just about receiving graduate information for Ball State," said Nancy Prater, director of marketing and communication for the School of Extended Education. "This is a chance to see opportunities outside of Ball State."

More than 20 schools will be present Friday, each with its own booth to provide information about its graduate curriculum. Prater recommended students do research before the expo and have questions ready for the representatives of schools of interest.

"Look through the list of schools and make a plan to go by the booths and talk to the representatives or grab their information," Prater said. "If you really know what programs you're interested in, make a list of questions for them."
