The Ball State football program has updated its 2015 non-conference schedule with Big Ten Conference opponent Northwestern that will be played on the road.
The 2015 non-conference portion of the schedule also has Middle Tennessee State.
Head coach Pete Lembo said in a press release that it's a great opportunity for Ball State to add a quality opponent without having to travel too far away. He also said recruiting should get boost because of how much the program recruits in the Chicago area.
Northwestern finished the 2011 season with a 6-7 record and 3-5 in the Big Ten with its biggest win coming at Nebraska.
Ball State's 2012 season starts at home against Eastern Michigan on Thursday, Aug. 30.
