WOMEN'S TENNIS: Return home ends with poor result

Wild records the only Ball State point of the afternoon

Ball State played its first home match since February 17 on Friday, but it did not have a welcome homecoming, as Western Michigan bested it 6-1.

The No. 1 doubles team won its match, 8-3, but the other two teams lost, giving the doubles point to Western Michigan.

The only player on Ball State to win their singles match was freshman Courtney Wild. Wild beat Nini Sujashvili 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 in a match that lasted well over two hours.

On Saturday, Bowling Green will come to visit as Ball State will try once again to get its first win since Feburary 29.
