Student attacked east of Kinghorn Hall

A student was attacked two blocks east of Kinghorn Hall on Sunday morning, according to an emergency email sent out by the university.

The attack happened in the 1200 block of W. Marsh St. and involved two assailants, one of which was described in the email as "African American, approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build." The other was described as a black male approximately 6 feet tall with a heavy build.

The email stated he was attacked without provocation. It also said no weapons were reported at the scene.

The emergency notification also offered tips for staying safe at night, such as avoiding distractions like cellphones or music and not walking alone. It also offered the number for Charlie's Charter, which only operates within university-owned or controlled property.
