Late Nite takes on spooky theme for Halloween weekend

Because Halloween falls on a Monday this year, Late Nite will celebrate the holiday a little early.

Late Nite will host a Halloween-themed party Saturday at the L.A. Pittenger Student Center in celebration of the holiday. The title of this weekend's "Best Party on Campus" is "Sleepy Hollow."

A wide array of events have been planned for attendees, including a pumpkin patch with pumpkin painting and carving, a haunted maze, a Boo-tique with hair and face painters, a Headless Horseman hayride and Harvest Festival games.

Food and beverages also will be served to complement the theme, including corn dogs, funnel cake, caramel apples and apple cider.

"I think it'll be bigger than last year because UPB had their haunted house at the same time we had our Late Nite event, so we expect the turnout to be much larger than last year's event," said Late Nite President Kelsey McPheeters.

"This semester, our attendance has been up, so we're hoping for 900-1000 people," she said.

Events will take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admission is free for Ball State students and $5 for guests.
