Four Ball State players have been honored by the Mid-American Conference Wednesday with First-Team, Second-Team and All-Freshman Team selections.
Junior catcher Amanda Montalto, senior right fielder Alyssa Collins, and freshman first baseman Taylor Rager received First-Team All-MAC selections while freshman designated hitter Jennifer Gilbert received Second-Team All-MAC honors.
Both Rager and Gilbert also made the All-Freshman team to round off the honors for Ball State.
It marks the sixth year in a row Ball State has had multiple players honored with postseason accolades.
Ball State will play No. 1 seed Western Michigan Thursday in the second round of the MAC Tournament. First pitch is at 1:30 p.m.

The Cardinals will face the No. 1 Miami Redhawks. If Ball State was to win, a second game will need to be played due to the Redhawks undefeated tournament record.
