Junior catcher Amanda Montalto has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Co-Player of the Week, along with Western Michigan senior outfielder Lexi Jager.
Montalto had a dominating week for Ball State, going 6-12 with three home runs, eight RBIs and a 1.250 slugging percentage.
Against Central Michigan in a doubleheader on Sunday, Montalto hit two home runs to pass Cardinal Abby Gross for first place on the all-time home runs list. The record-breaking shot gave her 20 home runs in her career.
Montalto is hitting .326 on the season with a team-leading nine home runs and 24 RBIs.
Ball State travels to Bloomington Wednesday to play the Hoosiers. First pitch is at 3 p.m.

The Cardinals will face the No. 1 Miami Redhawks. If Ball State was to win, a second game will need to be played due to the Redhawks undefeated tournament record.
