Co-founders of Fox Head to talk about entrepreneurship

A Ball State alumna and her husband are visiting campus to talk about the history of their company, Fox Head Inc., and what it's like to own one of the top action sports clothing lines in the world.

The co-founders of Fox Head, Geoff and Josie Fox, will be talking with students as part of the Miller College of Business executive-in-residence program.

The lecture will be held at 3:30 p.m. today in the Art and Journalism Building Room 175.

Fox Head is headquartered in Morgan Hill, Calif., with additional offices in Irvine, Calif., and Newcastle, United Kingdom.

The Fox brand is the most recognized and best selling brand of motocross apparel in the world today. Fox built its business by developing clothing for the high intensity, physically demanding sport of motocross.

Fox Racing first opened for business in 1974, when Geoff Fox, who taught physics at the University of Santa Clara, launched Moto-X Fox, a small distribution business for European motocross parts and accessories, in Campbell, Calif.

In two years, Moto-X Fox was manufacturing high-performance suspension and engine components for racers looking for an on-track advantage.

The company designs racing clothing made for high intensity and physically demanding sports and is well known for its fox head logo.

Fox Head also sponsors motocross and supercross racers who have won more than 40 national championships as well as a world supercross championship.

Other students and members of the community are encouraged to attend the lecture.

Admission to this event is free.
