MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Penn State sweeps Ball State

Ball State falls in final match of Outrigger Invitational

The Ball State men's volleyball team turned in a disappointing performance in its final match of the Outrigger Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii,  losing to Penn State 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-20). 

After upsetting sixth ranked Hawaii on Thursday, 14th ranked Ball State followed its win with two losses to UCLA on Friday and Penn State on Saturday.

Redshirt Junior Dominic Spadavecchio led Ball State with a seven kills, three digs and a service ace. 

Senior Lee Myers and redshirt freshman Tommy Rouse tied for a team-high five digs in the match.

Ball State will take the next week off and resume its season on Jan. 28 when the Cardinals take to the road to face off against George Mason.
