Ball State's field hockey team lost its final two regular season games over Halloween weekend and will limp into this week's Mid-American Conference Tournament.
Ball State was shut out 7-0 by Miami on Friday and lost 3-1 to Central Michigan on Sunday.
The Chippewas took an early advantage in Sunday's game with a goal in the fifth minute, and the Cardinals were unable to recover.
"We can't give up goals early in the game," coach Beth Maddox said. "We weren't consistent today."
At Friday's game against Miami, Ball State was outshot 18-6. The RedHawks also had a 7-2 advantage on penalty corners.
Ball State goalkeeper Morgan Hammer recorded seven saves in the net. Sarah Mueller had three saves for Miami.

Blaum scored her second goal of the season and the only Ball State goal for the weekend. The goal came off a penalty corner and was assisted by Cloutier.
