FOOTBALL: Iowa continues rout of Ball State

Hawkeyes lead 35-0 after third quarter

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Fans streamed out of Kinnick Stadium at halftime, eager to get out of the pouring rain.

Those that left missed another 14 points in the third quarter from No. 18 Iowa, to extend its lead to 35-0 against Ball State.

Running back Adam Robinson rushed for his second touchdown of the day and Ricky Stanzi threw for his third.

The Cardinals' offense, meanwhile, struggled as much as ever. Kelly Page replaced Keith Wenning at quarterback, but wasn't much more effective than the true freshman. Page finished the quarter 4-of-8 for 30 yards.

The running game was also unable to contend with the Hawkeye's defense. Eric Williams leads the Cardinals with 20 yards on nine carries.
