Muncie Action Plan steering committee will hold a public meeting tomorrow from 5 to 8 p.m. at Minnetrista Cultural Center.
The purpose of this public meeting is to share the recommendations of the Muncie Action Plan with the community. The recommendations presented at the meeting are based on extensive input from the public from previous meetings.
The Muncie Action Plan hopes to create steps or goals that would significantly improve Muncie.
The steering committee anticipates that because some of the public has attended previous meetings, the community will want to see the end result. In December, the public meetings brought out 600 community members with a common goal to better Muncie.
The purpose of Tuesday's meeting is to confirm that the steering committee is focusing on the correct public issues. The committee wants to make sure that the final draft of the plan makes sense to the public.
After community members contribute to Tuesday's meeting, the steering committee will finalize the Action Plan. The plan will then give a series of presentations to public bodies like the city council and the clerk board.
