Graduates announced to receive Ball State alumni award

Nine Ball State University graduates were selected to receive the 2010 Graduate of the Last Decade Award, which the university hands out to alumni who have demonstrated personal and professional achievement, community involvement and commiment to Ball State within the first 10 years of graduation.

To receive the reward the recipient must have received his or her initial bachelor's degree from Ball State. The annual award, which includes both traditional and non-traditional students is given to recipients based on the success in their professional field. The recipients must be active in public service to the community, non-profit organizations, professional organizations, the Ball State Alumni Association or Ball State.

This year's reciepients are Cory Calvin, Renee Cha, Adam Drummond, Michele Faroh, Christine Klefeker, Cara Tuttle-Bell, Corrie Meyer, Jennifer Dial and Alan Rucker.

Among past recipients of the G.O.L.D. award is former owner of several businesses in the Village Myles Ogea, who received his award in 1999.

The recipients will be honored during Ball State's Homecoming weekend. Ball State Alumni Association chairperson Doug Reddington will present the awards at a recognition dinner on October 8, 2010 at the Alumni Center.
