Ball State University rolled over Miami University 17-8 to complete a three-game sweep.
The Cardinals (11-15) used a seven-run fifth inning to break the Easter Sunday game wide open.
Ball State had just two hits in the inning, but took advantage of six walks and a hit batsman in the inning. The RedHawks (11-15) used five pitchers to get through the fifth.
The seven spot came in response to a pair of runs Miami scored to chase Ball State starter Kolbrin Vitek in the top of the fifth. The RedHawks had the bases loaded with one out, but Vitek struck out designated hitter Jordan Jankowski and reliever Derek Grabner got first baseman Kyle Weldon to pop out.
But after the Cardinals scored 11 runs in the fifth and sixth innings, the game was no longer in doubt.
Miami would add five runs in the eighth inning against Brad Piatt and added one in the ninth off Jon Cisna.
The sweep is Ball State's first since it took the final two games of last year against the University of Toledo to win the Mid-American Conference West Division. It has not swept a three-game series since last season at Northern Illinois University.
