Ball State student arrested after beating truck, cappuccino machine

A Ball State University student has been released from Delaware County Jail after being arrested early Wednesday morning for causing damage to a truck and a cappuccino machine.

Sophomore Eric Matthew Hall was preliminarily charged with criminal mischief, public intoxication and disorderly conduct after beating on a truck in a parking lot then picking up a cappuccino machine and throwing it on the floor at the Village Pantry on University Avenue.

According to a police report, Hall got mad after being thrown out of an apartment on University Avenue. He had a .223 blood alcohol content when he was arrested at about 4:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Hall was released from jail at about 4:30 p.m. the same day after posting a $7,000 bond.
