Thousands flood to downtown for Muncie Gras

Scantily clad women stuck out of the crowd as thousands from the Ball State University and Muncie communities roamed the streets as Muncie Gras 2010 raged in the downtown streets.

Doc's Music Hall co-owner Mike Martin said the bar was on pace to make more money than last year's event had hundreds shuffled in and out of the bar as the bands played.

Several stages held dozens of bands and other acts the city and Ball State embraced the one night of the year when flooding the streets of downtown Muncie is not only acceptable, but expected.

Martin said he wasn't sure if the night would reach the amount of sales it did last year, but it seemed like it was on pace.

Senior Rob Kramig said Muncie Gras was awesome and the atmosphere was fun and exciting.
