Ball State won the first two games 30-24,30-28 against No. 3 Cal State Northridge University on Saturday at Worthen Arena.
Middle attacker Anders Nelson leads the Cardinals in kills with eight.
The Matadors have committed 13 service errors compared to the Cardinals seven.
Ball State also has 26-16 edge in digs and a 9.5-6 edge in blocks.
