Students who take pride in their vocal ability have the opportunity to prove themselves against other Indiana college students while competing for a $5,000 scholarship.
Any student enrolled in an Indiana college or university can participate in try-outs for Campus Super Star. The Indiana University Hillel Center's contest, loosely based on "American Idol," puts contestants through three rounds of singing competition.
Students can try out in Bloomington or Indianapolis. The Bloomington try-outs are from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Hoosier Room at the Indiana Memorial Union. Indianapolis try-outs are from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 28 at Castleton Square Mall.
Students interested need to bring a student ID to one of the try-out sites and will be required to sing a cappella.
