The Residence Hall Association and Student Government Association's first University Governance Summit scheduled for Thursday has been canceled.
The summit will be rescheduled for sometime during the senate campaign season, which runs from Feb. 15 through March 2.
The University Governance Summit is set up to provide students with accurate information concerning various organizations and the university government. It also will allow students to voice their concerns on campus issues such as dining, housing and parking.
John Caplinger, Residence Hall Association president, said the reason it was postponed is because 'we didn't feel like we were going to reach our maximum speaking capacity.'
He said having it during a senate election will give students more time to prepare questions for the summit.
'We wanted to reach the most students and best represent the Ball State community,' Caplinger said.
