The huge drop in the polls following a big home loss didn't happen for the Ball State University men's volleyball team.
Three days after being swept by No. 13 Ohio State University, Ball State received one less vote than last week in the newest coaches poll released Monday.
The Cardinals (6-2, 1-2 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) received four votes and are listed outside the top 15 at No. 16.
This is the fourth consecutive week Ball State remained unranked being No. 11 in the preseason poll. It is also the fewest amount of votes Ball State received in the coaches poll this season.
The coaches poll is voted upon by 16 head coaches, including Ball State's Joel Walton.
Ball State will play a two-match series against Quincy University in Quincy, Ill., during the weekend before the next coaches poll is released.
