Ball Memorial Hospital exceeds fundraising goal

Ball Memorial Hospital started its annual fundraising campaign last fall with a goal of $225,000. The results of the campaign given out last week revealed the foundation raised more than $295,000.

At a gathering of campaign volunteers Thursday evening, campaign chairman Michael Galliher said in a press release the success of the campaign was because of "dedicated leaders and volunteers."

Funds will be used to help communities in the area, president of the foundation Tricia Stanley said in the press release.

The foundation has provided financial support for a number of hospital programs including community programs.

Ball Memorial Hospital received $2 million from 55-year board member John Fisher in mid-January which was used for graduate medical education and distribution by the board.
