Alpha Omicron Pi to host dodgeball tournament

Alpha Omicron Pi will host their third annual Dodgeball Tournament Saturday at Northside Middle School.

Twenty-four teams will compete in the tournament. The most spirited team, the best girls team and the best boys team will receive dodgeball trophies, Alpha Omicron Pi President Elizabeth Burkholder said.

Burkholder said she hopes about 50 spectators will attend each game.

"Last year it was so much fun," she said. "It's exciting to see people throw dodgeballs at all the fraternities and sororities."

The sorority hopes to raise money for arthritis and dystonia research, Burkholder said.
"Arthritis affects everyone," she said. "It doesn't matter what someone's race, gender or age is."

Spectators that donate money will be entered to win raffle prizes, Burkholder said. Prizes include gift cards to restaurants around Muncie, including Scotty's Brewhouse.
