Only one slate, Student Connection, was nominated for the 2010-2011 school year at the Student Government Association Nomination Convention.
"I think everyone else was disappointed to see only one slate run, but thats the nature of the beast," Elections Board chairman Schnieder said.
For now, elections will run as planned even though there is only one slate.
"As of now we are looking at doing open campaigning. If there is just one slate that runs they can be installed by two-thirds of student senate. We are considering that option but as of right now this is not going to happen," Schnider said.
Student Connection is headed by sophomore presidential candidate Matt Whitlock. Other members are sophomore Whitney Hamblin, vice presidential candidate; sophomore Juliana Abercrombie, secretary candidate; and junior Ronnie Bell, treasurer candidate.
