The Ball State University men's tennis team lost 5-2 on the road at Purdue University Saturday afternoon.
Junior Eduardo Pavia took a part in both of Ball State's wins on the day. He teamed with freshman Dalton Albertin at No. 1 doubles to win 8-6 over Purdue's P.J. Rose and Eric Ramos and then defeated the Boilermakers' Slavko Bijelica 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.
Two other matches could've turned into possible wins for the Cardinals (2-2). Andres Monroy and Zane Smith lost in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (8-6) at No. 2 doubles, while Shaun Bussert lost at the No. 6 singles spot in three sets: 5-7, 6-2, 6-3.
