Ball State Gymnastics falls to Northern Illinois 192.125-191.5

Cardinals unable to hold third rotation lead

' The Ball State University gymnastics team fell to Northern Illinois University 192.125-191.5 in DeKalb, Ill.

Ball State (3-4, 0-2 Mid-American Conference) posted a season high on the vault with a 48.2 and won the floor exercise.

Freshman Morgan Coslow won her first event as a Cardinal with a career-best 9.725 on the vault. Sophomore Brittney Emmons won the floor with a 9.85, continuing her strong performance in that event. Senior Bibiana Rodriguez tied for first on the uneven bars with a season-high 9.825

With the win, the Huskies improve to 3-1, 2-1 in conference competition.

Ball State has a short week before returning to the Land of Lincoln to face Illinois State University on Friday at 7 p.m.
