Ball State University sophomore center Jarrod Jones collected his second career Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week award Monday, the league office announced. Jones shares the award in the West with Western Michigan's Alex Wolf.
Jones had a double-double in the Cardinals' (4-5) 59-45 win over North Carolina Central Dec. 21, scoring 16 points and collecting 10 rebounds. The double-double was Jones' fifth in his career and second in his past three games.
Jones has built upon his MAC Freshman of the Year award from last season. He is fourth in the conference in scoring (14.9 points per game) and is seventh in rebounding (7.1).
The Cardinals host Maryland Eastern Shore tonight at 7:00 p.m.
