TERRE HAUTE — The Ball State University men's basketball team defeated host Indiana State University 68-63 in tonight's Hoosier State clash at the Hulman Center.
Leading the way for the Cardinals (3-3) was sophomore center Jarrod
Jones with a game-high-tying 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Freshman
guard Jauwan Scaife had a career-high-tying 14 points, while sophomore
guard Randy Davis had 11 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
For the Sycamores (5-3), sophomore guard Dwayne Lathan led the way
with 16 points and five rebounds off the bench.
After struggling from the field in its last three games, Ball State
found its shooting stroke tonight, making 24-of-47 (51.1 percent) of
its shots from the field, including 4-of-6 3-pointers.
Ball State continues its road swing with a matchup at Tennessee Tech
University on Saturday.
