FIELD HOCKEY: Ball State second half comeback snaps 8-game losing streak

The school's longest active losing streak is finally over.

Trailing Missouri State University 3-0, the Ball State University field hockey team scored four unanswered second half goals to win 4-3 and break its eight-game losing streak Saturday at the BSU Turf Field.

Forward Kaitlan Mitchell scored two goals in the comeback, including the game-winning goal off of a penalty corner with less than eight minutes remaining in the game.

The Cardinals (3-8, 1-3 Mid-American Conference) entered Saturday winless in conference play and had not won a game since the season's opening weekend on Aug. 30.
