After posting 37 kills last week, Charde' Phillips has been named the Mid-American Conference West Offensive Player of the Week.
During the first home match of the season for Ball State University against IPFW on Friday, Phillips had a career high 14 kills en route to a Cardinal sweep.
The following day, Phillips had nine kills against SIU-Edwardsville and tied her career high with 14 more against Louisville in the night cap.
Along with the 37 kills during the tournament, Phillips had a team-best eight blocks and was named to the all-tournament team.
This was the first time Phillips has received the award.
The team returns to action this weekend when it heads to the Best Wester ISU Classic at Indiana State University.
