Ball State University women's basketball coach Kelly Packard announced the captains for the 2009-10 season.
Packard on Wednesday named seniors Danielle Gratton and Audrey McDonald as well as junior Emily Maggert as captains for this season.
Gratton, McDonald and Maggert will be leading a program coming off its most successful season in school history.
The 2008-09 Cardinals had a school-record 26 wins and won the program's first-ever Mid-American Conference tournament, earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament, where Ball State upset the University of Tennessee in the first round and lost to Iowa State University in the second round.
Ball State opens its season at the University of Michigan on Nov. 13.
